Nice leg press
I bought mine a few months back and really like it. The new upgrades they did to the new version make it better. Are the new handles you added to the seat available to add to the one i bought? Overall it’s nice, but wish I would have known they would give it better features when I bought mine a few months back.
Centerpiece of my gym
This is my favorite piece of equipment. Commercial grade at an affordable price. Easy to assemble and can handle a ton of weight. Smoothe functionality
Tall Lifter
I’m 6’9” and I fit. Not able to do much in the way of calf raises but the leg press itself works. I have about a 1/2” clearance.
Quality, Compact, Value and Excellent Customer Service
So back during the pandemic, we moved into an apartment that had a little basement gym. Nothing fancy, but it was nice to be able to work out that year when you could not go to a gym. Told myself that I would replicate that space once we moved into our new home. Over the Christmas break I ordered the last piece needed, the Powertec leg press, to start my set up before I went back to work in 2024. Total gym space is 12' x 12' or 144 sq ft. total. Compact, but has all of the essentials I need. The leg press shipped fast and was received in about a week. It comes on a skid and they will not bring it in your home, so be prepared. They put it in my garage and I then used a hand truck (dolly) and some ratchet straps to get the two boxes into the basement. If you have a buddy, you can team lift it where you want it to go. It was just me, thus the hand truck. I had a small QA issue, but Powertec addressed it fully (thanks Scott E. for your help). All of this happened around Christmas Eve! Man, hard to find customer service like that anymore. Setup using the video took about 2 hours by myself. As people state everywhere, the instructions could be better, but the video helps a lot. Only part I messed up on was installing the lower "horns" as I didn't realize they were supposed to be bolted on at the same time I did the upper horns. Quick fix and I was able to move on. Leg press is small and takes up minimal space. It's of really good quality and you really can't beat it for the price. I race bikes so leg work is important. I need a sled that can handle weight in the 600 lbs. plus range and this thing is a dream. Tracks and rollers are super smooth and it never feels weak or flimsy. Yes, like everyone on the net says, you do have to lower the press to load weight on the lower horns. Ideal? Nope. Deal breaker? Nope. This is a "first world problem" and something I can live with. I'm 5' 10" and I don't have any problems with fully extending my legs, but if you are 6' plus it might be an issue like others note on the web. All in all, I am super happy with the purchase. Makes it real easy to roll out of bed, walk downstairs and get to work at 5AM vs. a 15 minute drive to the gym when I need to work out. Still go to the gym, but this setup makes it easy to stay consistent, especially in the Midwest where winters can be no fun due to snow.
