Awesome Small Footprint Leg Press
I don't have a lot of space in my home gym so was hesitant to purchase a single purpose machine. The practical footprint it takes up is less than the strict rectangular dimensions would imply. Also, I am able to load full sized 45's even with the unit side lined up against a wall! The only drawback is that due to limited structural mobility, I can't use the bottom third of the foot plate. I wish the bottom section of the footplate had a heel lifted angle to accommodate limited mobility structured bodies like mine. As with all leg press machines, I use an ab mat to support my lower back when using it. With that said, this is my favorite exercise in my very capable home gym. The movement of this press feels great. The machine is quite and fully capable at heavy plate loads. It feels solid and smooth. The pads are firm and stable. The handles are at a comfortable distance for my frame. I have several top of the line gym pieces and this machine fits right in aesthetically. I don't see why this machine won't outlast me. If your gym has limited space this is the only 45 degree leg press you need to consider.
Great equipment!
Not intuitive, but once you find the handles for keeping the weights up its amazing 10/10
Good Home Gym Product
I purchased the Powertec Leg Press in December of 2018 and was delivered to me on January 24 2019. So far so good but minor improvements can be made for taller users. I'm 6'2" tall and feel Powertec could have added one to two holes on the adapter tube of the back rest. Adding the additional hole(s) will better accommodate taller users that are 6'2" to 6'4". I like that they made the foot plate wider that allows you to place your feet on multiple angle. The carriage glide smoothly on the glide rods and will glide better when silicone spray is added. Overall it's good home gym unit to have.
Great Leg press for the money
I bought this in December and have been using it for 4 months now. This thing is a rockstar of a home leg press. Honestly no need to look anywhere else. It looks great and performs as advertised. It's a small footprint but can handle the weight it claims. Pros; - Small footprint without sacrificing performance - cost is as good as you'll find with this quality - smooth operation and easy maintenance to keep it that way - lots of loadable space for weights. You don't need a bunch of hundred pound plates. - For a home gym seems to have lasting quality - comfy cushions - looks sharp Cons; - You have to lower the unit to load the bottom horns - not commercial, this is built for a home gym Honestly I had to reach for the cons. If you want a home leg press, buy this unit.
Awesome product!
Wow. I am blown away. I looked at many brands of equipment to start the build of my home gym I have been training for 35 years and know what good commercial equipment feels like. I was concerned that a leg press could give me the same feel as the commercial gym. The Powertec leg press has exceeded my expectations. First set I knew I made the right purchase as the press is as smooth and solid as the commercial equipment. If you are thinking about buying a leg press for your home gym, dont hesitate to buy this leg press. You will not be disappointed. I also bought the workbench multipress, lat tower with optional weight stack, hyper extension bench and dumbbell rack. All have exceeded my expectations and give me the same feel of a commercial quality gym but only in the privacy of my own home. I am sold on the powertec quality and will not buy any other brand than powertec. Keith Hill
