Works well
I have had the CLS for a few months now and it is an effective part of my workout routine. Dealing with Powertec has been a great experience. Before I even purchased it, I had a question about the locking mechanism issue that some had mentioned and they responded quickly with the proper way to install it and even created a video showing proper installations. After I purchased it, it was delivered by their delivery company right into my garage. It was packed on a palette extremely well with no chance for damage. I do agree with some others that their instructions could be improved upon. However, they lay their fasteners out well and they are labeled. Watch both their videos on YouTube before you build it and you should not have any issues. They even included a permanent black marker pen incase there are nicks or you make a scratch on the sled frame. The CLS itself is a beast and well built from the seat to the frame. Once assembled it is very sturdy. I did use some silicone lube spray on the guide rails and it is very smooth to operate. It does not take up very much space. I use Rogue Olympic style weight plates. I am 6’1 and my wife is 5’3 and it works well for both of us. We really like it, but most importantly it is an effective machine for our workouts. I would gladly recommend the CLS.

Amazing Equipment!
This is just the perfect addition to my home gym! Compact and sturdy with smooth operation. Being a compact design I was worried that at 6’ 3” I wouldn’t get a full range of motion, but that fear was unfounded. If I have any complaints they would be with the instructions; the spring and locking arm were unclear as to the order in which it should be assembled and took back and forth to figure it out. I would also attach the seat way before the very end as getting yours hands in position to screw it on is incredibly difficult once the sled is completely assembled. Other that those two hiccups it’s easy to put together and a joy to use.
Good Machine with some work to fix it
Purchased about 6 months ago - works great since fixing 2 issues: 1. Assembly was okay except for the spring for the locking arm. Once figured it out the rest was fine. 2. Locking arm scraping against the main body (metal against metal) which made the machine not work smoothly. Removed the locking arm and used a metal filer to file the part/side that had scrape marks. That fixed the problem and works very smoothly. Bottom line: A promising machine if you have the skills and the patience to fix it. It is unfortunate that the manufacturer doesnt seem to care to fix couple minor issues that would make the machine a great customer experience and protect its reputation and integrity of its products.
Engineer is a genius
I have had about a year. This is exceptionally well engineered. How can I be upright and have no stress on my low back? Also, I can go low and stress on the knees is minimal. I have been working out 30 years, and havent come across anything like it. The Cybex makes a squat press which is great, but you have to sell your first born to afford it. Anyways, this is an objective review from a customer, and I sound like a fanboy but had to share my thoughts on. I have had back surgery, and appreciate the thought that went into this.
Perfect Home Gym Leg Machine
Purchased the leg sled after all the gyms shut down due to covid. This machine is perfect to fit in your garage and has been great to replace a gym leg press. I also have lower back problems and am still able to push plenty of weight to continue growing my legs. The calf attachment works great as well. Thanks PowerTec!
